Course Objective:
The objective of this Power Electronics course is to provide students with a solid foundation in the principles and applications of power electronic devices and circuits.
Course Outcomes (CO)
On successful completion of the course, the students would be able to;
CO1: Analyse the performance characteristics of various types of phase controlled converter.
CO2: Design and analyse the DC-DC converter.
CO3: Describe the operation of the inverter and analyse its performance.
CO4: Design and analyse the performance of AC/ AC converters.
CO5: Understand the power quality issues and its mitigation.
